"I love my Reunion Blues gig bags!!! I've never felt more safe about carrying my bass on a plane!!! It's a Great design and gives great protection for every occasion! You guys Rock!"
Tres` is one of Atlanta's premier bass guitarists. He mastered his craft by playing since the age of twelve, and has over 20 years’ experience in the music industry. As a student, Tres participated in Jazz Laboratory and Orchestra, where he furthered his passion and endearing love for music. He has worked with a stunning range of acclaimed artists, and his growing list of musical accomplishments is a testament to his impressive skill.
Tres` talents can be heard in television promotions for Revlon, Coca-Cola & Vidal Sassoon. Whether it is the theme song from an episode of In the Heat of the Night, BET'S Bobby Jones Gospel or even Michael McDonald's taking it to the Street, FORD commercial, his signature hard-driving bass line adds just the right touch. Tres has played for THAT COMEDY SHOW hosted by Ryan, played on hit soundtracks for The Fighting Temptations and Love Jones, and has been invited to play for former Atlanta Mayors Andrew Young, Maynard Jackson, and Bill Campbell. Tres has performed with AmeriCorps for former President Bill Clinton, served as Musical Director for the Clark Atlanta Gospel Choir and toured with R&B artist 112, Kelly Price, TLC, New Edition, BBD, Johnny Gill, and The Heads of State (Bobby Brown, Johnny Gill, and Ralph Tresvant) among others.
As founder of the production company 3rd World Music, Tres produced the Grammy Award Nominated Calvin Richardson’s 4th album, Facts of Life: The Soul Of Bobby Womack. He also produced and played for Grammy Award Winner Ann Nesby, with whom he also performed for at the 2009 and 2010 Soul Train Music Awards, which saw a record audience of 4.2 million viewers. Additional artists he performed with at the Soul Train Awards include Neyo, Chrisette Michele, Erykah Badu, Robin Thicke, Charlie Wilson and more.
While a participant of Atlanta radio station WJZZ's Smooth Jazz at Sambuca, hosted by Dave Koz, Tres worked with renowned Jazz musicians including Alex Bugnon, Gerald Albright, Peabo Bryson, Gabriela Anders, Phil Davis, and Bob Baldwin.
Tres’ latest single and remix entitled "Simply Redeemed" on Timeless Records is now available, and he is also working on a new Solo project and TV Show: The Music Store. It goes without saying - Tres Gilbert is not one for mediocrity, and a rare musical find.
