"My Reunion Blues double bass gig bag was a life saver for me on my recent tours to South America and Europe. A few times, the airline forced me to gate check my basses and would not let me get them until they rode through the entire baggage claim system, which meant they were bouncing around from conveyor belt to conveyor belt. I'm happy to say, the bag protected both basses very well, and there wasn't any damage to them whatsoever. These are absolutely the best gig bags & cases, period."
Tony Campos is a founding member of Static-X, playing bass and singing backing vocals on all of the group's studio albums. Along with Wayne Static he was one of the legal owners of the Static-X name. On October 23, 2018, Tony announced that he and the other two surviving original members – guitarist Koichi Fukuda and drummer Ken Jay – had reformed Static-X, who released a new album and embarked on a worldwide tour in 2019 in memory of Wayne Static.
The 20th anniversary release of Machine features newly remastered audio by Ulrich Wild and features all 12 tracks from the original release, as well as 3 new bonus tracks: “Wisconsin Death Trip (Live 2019 Regeneration featuring Wayne Static),” “Sweat of the Bud (Live 2019 Xer0)” and “I'm With Stupid (Live 2019 Regeneration featuring Wayne Static).” Originally released in 2001, Machine would ultimately turn out to be the last album recorded by the 4 original members of Static-X. All of the lead vocals and guitars on Machine were performed by Wayne Static, while bass, backing vocals, drums, and programming contributions came from founding members Tony Campos, Ken Jay, & Koichi Fukuda
A tour reunion that is over two decades in the making will return this Fall. In 1999, metal legends Sevendust, Static-X, & DOPE were each exploding onto the scene, while pairing up to create one of the most memorable tours of the year. Fast forward to 2023 and this incredible tour package is primed to deliver a super-charged evening of unforgettable music for newfound and lifelong fans of this resurging genre.
The Machine Killer Tour co-headlined by Static-X & Sevendust is named after the GOLD certified sophomore album Machine by Static-X and their recently acclaimed Rise Of The Machine tour, along with the upcoming fourteenth studio album from Sevendust, Truth Killer. Rockers DOPE (who also participated in the 1999 tour) and newcomers Lines of Loyalty will act as support for The Machine Killer Tour.
“We are excited to bring the fans an even bigger and better show than the last one” says Xer0. “We are already building the new production elements and we intend to blow the roofs off of these venues each night.”
“We are beyond thrilled to be touring with Sevendust again” says Tony Campos. “They bring one hell of a show each and every night, so this tour is going to be one for the ages.”
"We’re excited to join our friends in Static-X and Dope who we share much history with on tour,” adds Clint Lowery. “I have no doubt that this will be an extremely entertaining and high production run. The bands and the fans have much to look forward to on this one. Do not miss out!”
