"The only case that takes the stress off when I have to check my basses"
"I love my case!!!"
Born in Ecuador, Fransisco “Pancho” Tomaselli has toured around the world playing bass for WAR and other noted acts. After graduating from the prestigious Berklee College of Music, Pancho moved to L.A. where he joined the A&R department at Virgin Records of America. There, Pancho worked with Janet Jackson, Maya Angelou, Lenny Kravitz and Ben Harper. In 2000, Pancho began playing with artists such as Tricky and Carlos Santana as well as performing with groups like La Sonora Dinamita, Nelly Furtado and Molotov. In 2003, he joined WAR and has shared stages with megastars like Joe Cocker, Alice Cooper, Cheap Trick, Creedence Clearwater Revival and PHILM.
Pancho’s highly skilled bass playing, chordal color and shape have helped expand PHILM and the overall sound instrumentation and groove. Tomaselli has come up with a description he likes to use for PHILM's sound. "PHILM's sound is pure and balanced, hard to describe but unique. I would call it 'novo punk.' We also want to bring the power trio back to life."
