Michael Warren’s unwavering journey in country music has given him the chance to bring new fans into the genre that he’s loved since he was a kid growing up in Alabama.
After playing over 200 shows a year for almost a decade and writing songs on the west coast for A-listers like Akon and Jennifer Lopez, Michael found his way back to his home along the Interstate 65 corridor where he splits time between Birmingham and Nashville when he’s not out playing shows with artists like Walker Hayes, Gabby Barrett, Cole Swindell, or on the Bud Light Backyard tour.
His four-song EP “What's Country To You” recorded in Nashville, TN channels his love of “Southern things – faith, family, friends, football, barbecue, hard work.” The EP has garnered millions of streams and has been placed on major playlists like New Boots and Hot Country. It has been featured on CMT, People, and Billboard. And in January, Spotify named Michael a 2024 Artist to Watch.
Warren reimagines his contemporary influences like Rascal Flatts and John Mayer influenced by an upbringing that exposed him to equal parts Southern Hip hop and R&B icons to classics like James Taylor and Garth Brooks.
“For almost a decade I’ve been telling small-town stories through a blend of country, pop, and R&B and when people hear my music, I want them to feel like everything is going to be ok. Because it is.”
