"I have relied on Reunion Blues consistently for the last 10+ years of my touring career. Durable and comfortable, their cases have been all over the world with me, and they’ve never let me down."
Jesske Hume is a bass player from New York City. Along with her groove-based bass playing, Hume is a skilled improviser who works with effects to create ambient soundscapes that can be found layered into many of the studio recordings she has played on.
As a freelance bass player and vocalist, Hume enjoys working with a variety of noteworthy musicians- some of her consistent favorites include her many years of playing and collaborating with the talented vocalist and songwriter Jeff Taylor, and more recently with songwriter Sonny Singh- with whom she lends bass and vocals (in Punjabi) to his unique interpretations of Sikh devotional music.
In addition to playing bass, Jesske is a skilled singer, songwriter, sound designer and lover of analog synthesizers and electronics. She writes and records music with her band weyou, a duo with Nate Wood, and on her own solo ambient music under her own name.
As a bassist, when not on tour she is at home in New York City doing studio work and playing locally with a number of players and songwriters. She is proud to endorse some of her favorite gear including Moollon instruments, Dunlop strings, Way Huge and Eventide pedals, Aguilar Amps and Reunion Blues gig bags and cases.
