Guitarist, Michael Everett Brown and Bassist, Harold Walter Brown III, the two brothers from the south side of Chicago are the founders and driving force behind the jazz/funk group Everett B. Walters. Along with Stanley Small on Keyboards/Lead Vocals, Ed Morales Percussion, lay down some funky, smooth and danceable rhythms make for an outstanding live show.
“Long Road Home”, is their new CD and the 4th that features a unique brand of r&b, smooth jazz and soul. From the funky bass grooves on the title track, to the smooth guitar and a few rock guitar solos, to some smooth vocal stylings. This CD has it all! Also joining them again on drums is Mike White.
"Catching the H Train", their 3rd and current CD is a refreshing blend of cool jazz, r&b and soul that re-unites longtime friend and brother Mike White on drums and Alex Alessondroni, (co-writer of Always high Reaching) on keyboards.
Growing up in Chicago, the Brown brothers started their career in the Chicago Vocational Music Program, but it was neighborhood friend Tom Washington (Tom-Tom 84) who recorded and arranged with super group Earth, Wind and Fire and many others that influenced them most. After high school they performed regularly around the Chicago area at community events, private events and clubs including the infamous Cotton Club and The Click. The Brown brothers also had the opportunity to open for the late Bernie Mac. In the early 90’s Michael and Harold left Chicago, headed to Las Vegas and soon begin performing regularly.
Stanley Small aka (Duayne Stanley), a creative songwriter, arranger, producer and vocal performer, is a self taught keyboardist who also plays saxophone, drums and percussion. He is originally from the mid-western city of Wichita, Kansas where he fronted various cover bands before relocating to Las Vegas in 1991 to further pursue his music career. Stanley is also the third member of the song writing team.
Eduardo Morales Sr. on percussion from New York, brings his innovative musical style to the band. His flashy funky congos, bongos and timbales helps bring the groups unique sound all together.
